necati - Come see Turkey with Necati!

Necati was born in a small town called Safranbolu in the middle of Asia Minor which derived its name from abundance of saffron growing in the area. This town is now an open-air museum for its old, wooden structure houses built in Ottoman architecture. These houses are under the State Protection.

He traveled a lot in his childhood with his parents, completing his elementary and high school studies at several different towns. He learned his basic English in high school and gained most of his knowledge in the English Language during his academical studies both in Turkey and U.S.A.

His first travel abroad was to Korea during his military service for the U.N.where he experienced more in travel flying to Japan for short holidays. After his return to Turkey he attended to the first guide course opened by the Ministry of Tourism in Izmir and became a licensed guide in 1962. He is a student of Cevat Sakir Kabaagacli, teacher of Turkish Guides, The Famous fisherman of Halicarnasos.  

Then Necati was a young enthusiastic amateur tour guide willing to meet foreign tourists to take them around, showing them magnificent archeological sites in Turkey. This was his part time job in addition to his regular job while he worked in Nato, Etibank, and Dutilh Travel agency. He actually began guiding groups professionally in early 80's after he gained his retirement from Dutilh where he worked as a travel agent. He then guided many groups and individuals from USA, England, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, New Zeeland and Australia. He also visited these countries with Turkish groups acting as their tour leaders.

Necati is now an active free-lance driver-guide for individual travelers and guide for groups, willing to share all the fascinating things that makes Turkey special, so he is a Turkey-specialist offering his clients pleasant and memorable holidays in his country.
