My name is David Nkosi and I offer an individual birding experience to a whole range of different people. Whether you are an enthusiastic amateur who wants to get an idea of the different species that live in South Africa, or a dedicated twitcher tracking down an elusive rare bird, or a holiday-maker who is looking for a fun way to spend a day, I can arrange the right trip for you.
I am currently working as a research assistant at the Percy Fitzpatrick Institute of African Ornithology, University of Cape Town. Here I assist in a wide range of projects which include investigating the breeding behaviour of the bar-throated apalis, cape robin, and karoo robin, as well as surveillance of water birds for avian influenza. I am often out in the field, tagging birds, monitoring nest sites, and observing the habits and movements of the bird populations. For me it is a wonderful job!
