Orlík is one of the examples of well preserved seat of an old Czech aristocracy. Since the 13th century when the castle was founded couple of important construction changes were finished together with each of the different owner. Last owners were, and after 1989 are again, members of Schwarzenberg nobility .Nowadays it is a three storey water castle standing on a rock above a dam finished 1960.
Zvíkov is an outstanding example of Czech medieval secular architecture. The foundation of it is connected with a royal dynasty of Premyslovec. It was inhabited until a destructive fire in the 18th century. Last renovation of the castle was finished during the 1970´. Nowadays we can admire both the royal palace and the defensive system.
