Walk with me through the city center of Reykjavik and get to know the local haunts like a local. You get an introduction to the history of Reykjavík and Iceland and learn about the Parliament building and recent events in our history such as the protests and ensuing riots at the beginning of 2009.
The people demanded that the government showed responsibility by resigning, that there would be elections soon and that the director of the Iceland reserve bank would be fired. Learn about the events and the activist's leader Mr. Hörður Torfason.
The duration of the walk depends on your interest and stamina but can take anywhere from 30 minutes up to four hours. Typical walk last about 2 hours and is very easy, mostly on level surface.
I will meet you in your hotel in the city center, or another pre-arranged place either in the morning, early afternoon or evening.
