MORRO DE SÃO PAULO - BAHIA - BRASIL
Boat trip
Departs from the third beach at Morro de São Paulo every day at 10 o’clock.
In 15 minutes there is the first stop where we dive in natural pools at Ilha do Caitá where we can see marine life using a mask and snorkel (for rent on the boat). Then we go to the northern part of the island passing by Ilha da Saudade and the second and first beaches, the lighthouse, Tapirandú’s Fort, where sometimes you can see the dolphins. Walking down to Morro’s bridge we stop at the mud cliffs for a mud bath, for a smoother skin. Then we leave for a sand bank in the middle of the ocean that you can walk around on. This is the place where Carla Peres (a famous Brazilian artist) made pictures for the Playboy magazine.
At Ponta do Curral’s beach, on the mainland you can go for a 10 minute walk and then arrive on a very beautiful, deserted beach with an amazing view of Tinharé Island. Sometimes tourists can try some seasonal tropical fruits like caju and pitanga here.
After that we go to Gamboa do Morro, a small fisherman’s village where you can experience local culture and have a delicious lunch with typical Bahian food (not included).
Then we return to Morro’s pier at 4 o’clock.
