Bath is arguably Britain’s most beautiful city. It is also home to 2000 years of history: founded in Roman times on the site of the only hot springs in the UK. The ruins of the Roman baths evoke the spirit of their Empire, with the steaming pools and ancient plumbing. We tour the town’s elegant Georgian terraces, to discover society life of the 1800s. On the way back we stop at Laycock, with its perfectly preserved timber frame houses, and the Abbey which featured in the Harry Potter films.
