The tour starts in the old part of town at the Museum for Contemporary Art ('MACBA') and Rambla de Raval in the exotic Raval neighborhood.
In the Gothic Quarter we visit Plaza Reial, Barcelona's most legendary nightlife square ; Plaza San Jaume: the political centre of Catalunya ; Plaza San Felip Neri with its still visible marks of the civil war in the middle of the old Jewish neighbourhood ; the Gothic Catedral ; Roman defence walls and Plaza del Rei where Columbus is supposed to have been received in 1493 after his discovery of the Americas.
The route continues along Barcelona´s beaches: the old harbour with the former fisherman's district Barceloneta, where we stop for a drink at the beach, and Vila Olimpica with the Olympic Port and the Olympic Village of the 1992 Barcelona Games. From there you will head off to the modernist Eixample district:
Parque de la Ciutadela, the city's biggest park ; Sagrada Familia, Antonio Gaudí's still unfinished church ; and Passeig de Gracia with Gaudí’s Casa Batllo and Casa Milá, better known as 'the quarry'.
