EASTER HOLIDAY: TREKKING AND ROMANESQUE ART - Trip...

09 April 2009. Barcelona – Montañana. Visit to Poblet monastery, declared World Heritage monument by UNESCO. We will discover the place by a guided visit and have the chance to taste and buy some wine, produced by the monks of the monastery. Then we will head to a charming village settle in the Pyrenees. Dinner and overnight in a traditional Catalan Country house.
10 April 2009. Hike at Montrebei Gorge. After a healthy breakfast of home made produce, we will walk through the Mont-rebey gorge, one of the most impressive walks in Catalonia. We will follow a path which is carved out of the rock face and enjoy the spectacular scenery on offer. (Difficulty: Low. Slope: 250m Duration: 6h).
11 April 2009. Hike at the Montsec. After breakfast we will discover the impressive Montsec Mountains, an area only know by the most intrepid travelers.Walk of great natural and cultural interest as we will discover on the way charming little mountain villages dated back from the medieval ages which seems to have been forgotten by the passing of time. (Difficulty: Low. Slope 350m Duration: 6h)
12 April 2009. Hike at Aiguestortes National Park.  After breakfast we will do one of the most impressive and beautiful walk in Aiguestortes National Park in order to discover this valleys of the High Pyrenees. (Difficulty: Low / Medium. Slope: minimum 250m. Duration: 4/6 h)
13 April 2009. Romanesque tour.  After breakfast we will do a guided tour in the Boi Valley, an area declared World Heritage by UNESCO. During the tour we will visit the most impressive Romanesque churches of the area. After lunch return to Barcelona.
