O`ahu's Sacred Heiau: Places of Hawaiian Ceremony...

During this tour, you will be introduced to several of Hawai`I's core cultural concepts -- beginning with the deeper meaning of ALOHA -- as you are taken to three of O`ahu's most sacred heiau (hay-ow).  Heaiu are mostly stone structures that were used for ceremony.  You will learn the many purposes and variety of heiau while given a basic understanding of the Hawaiian's concept of spirituality.  Sites include the 'healing pools of Makapu`u'(eastern O`ahu), the heiau of Keaiwa (southern O'ahu), and 'Kukaniloko' -- also known as the sacred Birthing Rocks (central O`ahu).

Pick up will be in Waikiki (unless arranged otherwise) and will include a box lunch at the second site.  Special arrangements 'may' be made for larger groups.  Small groups also welcomed.
