7 DAYS MENTAWAI PRIMITIVE TREKING

DAY 1. PADANG - MENTAWAI

Arrive in Bumi Minang International Airport - Padang, Clearance & meeting service. Then prepared for Mentawai, transfer to the Muara Harbour depart for Mentawai, overnight on the boat, the boat leaving on 08:00 pm and will arrive at Muara Siberut on 08:00 am.

DAY 2.    MUARA SIBERUT – KESAGU - DORODOG   

Arrived at Siberut Mentawai Island, after breakfast we will report to the police station, then take a boat charter to jungle,  We will arrive in Kesagu the gate of jungle, after 1,5 or 2 hours. We will walk from Kesagu to Dorodog around 2 hours. our guide will explain some of local tool and their life style. We will overnight here.

DAY 3.        DORODOG – MADOBAK - UGAI

We will go on our trip after breakfast to Madobak, we will be here around 01.00 pm, take a lunch, and we walk to Ugai, one hour from Madabok for overnight and watching Turuk (the Mentawaian traditional dance)

TURUK: includes the sacrifice of a pig that is cooked and shared by the entire clan. Afterward, the chanting, drumming and dancing of the sikerei (medicine men) often culminate in shamanic trances.

DAY 4.          UGAI - MALAGUREK

We will show you how the local making sago (sago is their main food of Mentawaian), and we do hunting around Butui and back to Ugai again. From ugai we walk to Malagurek.

DAY 5.          MALAGUREK - DORODOG

We walk again to Kulukubuk beautiful waterfal in the jungle and we will show you how the local make KABID (the loin cloth of the bark). From waterfall we walk to Sikalio and from Sikalio to Dorodog for overnight.

DAY 6. DORODOG – KESAGU – MUARA SIBERUT

After breakfast, we will walk from Dorodog to Kesagu, and from Kesagu to Muara Siberut then sailing back to Padang , overnight on the boat.

DAY 7. PADANG

Transfer to your Hotel or Airport for your next destination, this trip also can be extending for Minangkabau tour or to North Sumatra Overland.
