The Prosecco territory stretches across the Treviso countryside from Conegliano to Valdobbiadene and on its gentle slopes, located amidst historical small towns and uninterrupted rows of vines, are produced the Prosecco and Cartizze, the most celebrated sparkling wines in the region. However this area is also noted for some dry robust red wines which were awarded national recognition, and some sweet ones made from indigenous grapes. With stops at two different vineyards you will have the opportunity to sample both the traditional and the most innovative products which made this place famous.
Our tour begins with a visit at a distinguished winery producing a broad range of wines from the same Prosecco grape and the famous Cartizze, along with the age-old method of making Champagne style wine.
You will be impressed by the delicate and fruity flavours of the basic Prosecco compared with the richness of the sweet version.
Lunch will follow in a traditional restaurant of the area.
Later, driving through the soft undulating hills we will reach the old Medieval Abbey of Follina, where monks settled down in the XII th cent. Monastic orders worked during the Middle Ages to reclaim and farm the land of the Treviso hills, and made vineyards a constant feature of the Veneto landscape. The last wine estate you will visit is in fact located near the ruins of a Benedictine Abbey along the Piave river. The tasting session includes a presentation of the best red wines made from original varietals and completes your day in one of the most picturesque wine areas in Italy.

- min. 2 - max. 20 participants

I just wanted to write in appreciation for your services. The attention to detail was evident from the start of the tour and the winery was superb, as was your narrative into Venetian life and culture. Truly, your tour was one of the highlights of our vacation. I hope our paths meet again on another fabulous adventure.
