A personal view of Riga...

I conduct tours through my own project called 'e.a.t. Riga'. I have developed a style of tour that is relaxed, fun and informative. Going deeper into what Riga is today and not filling you up with too many dates and facts about Riga, allowing more for the intersting elements of Riga. What we can relate to today.

This is an email i recieved recently about one of my tours.

'Hello, James!

I'm really sorry to write you so late, I'm one of the two girls from Slovenia, that went with you in Riga instead to the seaside on some sunny end of april day:)
we promised to write some impressions about your walking tour, didn't forget, but i just came back home from Russia so now have more time.

Your walking tour was the best thing to experience in Riga. I was impressed by the town even before we went around with your tour, but after that got a feeling that it really HAS something deeper than just the things we see. The Riga you showed us was 'standing naked' in front of us, it's like getting really intimate with somebody and in this case with that beautiful town.
I apreciate that little things u showed us in Riga really make a differenece- it almost got me crying when you were talking about the Jews (the statue is really amazing) (oh, by the way- the Academy is just the same as the University in Moscow, maybe you should find some conections with it...), was fascinated by the diligent Latvians, that -instead of glue the cinema posters- paint them,
maybe you should take your tourists to the outskirts by bikes? i went to tallinn later and we took some bikes, had the best time exploring the old soviet buildings, the seashore and so on...

well, doesnt really matter, whether u post it or not, but it's a fed back and well...really thank you again for the great time we spet with you in Riga
