You don't need to be an art historian to enjoy architecture. Come on a journey through Europe's 'Little Paris'. Experience some of the most experimental Art Nouveau styles from the period. We will not just show you the picture postcard buildings but also focus on the more unusual and thought provoking buildings from this period.
Almost everyone who visits Riga will enjoy Elizabeth and Alberta Street to see some fantastic examples of Riga's Art Nouveau However; we aim to show you some styles that you may otherwise miss. Over 600 buildings were constructed in the centre of Riga between 1900 and 1910 and for this reason we have a diverse array of styles in the city. We aim to get you as close to understanding why Riga has so much Art Nouveau and to get into the minds of those who created these masterpieces.
On our tour we will not visit what the tourist office calls the 'Art Nouveau district because we believe there is much more examples to be seen in areas that are not swamped with tourist groups. Riga itself is an Art Nouveau city, come with us and discover this for yourself.
