This tour is designed for the people to explore the cultures of Nepal, the people from different walks of life covering almost most of the people with varied traditions, cultures and religious thoughts. You will see the Newar community in the Kathmandu valley, Bhahmins & Chettri settlements on the way to Nagarkot & Pokhara & The brave Gurkha Soldiers Gurungs in the western part at Pokhara. You can easily compare & contrast the people from different walks of life in this tour. Historic also known as the cultural hub of Nepal, the Kathmandu valley, the famous hill town - Nagarkot and the enchanting Himalayan valley- Pokhara are the main highlights of this trip.
Outline Itinerary
Day 1: arrive in Kathmandu
Our representative will be there at the airport to pick you up from the airport and to assist you to reach your home in the country. For your convenience, there will be a board with your name written so that it becomes easy for you to recognize the representative from your tour operator. You will be given some time so that you could refresh yourself so that you could start your days in Nepal smoothly. Once you are done, the assistant from the office will take you to the office through which you are doing the trip. The manager will brief you about your entire tour programs with some 'do's & don’ts' while you are in country and will be inviting you for the dinner for the same evening so that you could feel easy while you are with us. After short briefs, your days in Nepal start. And as per the package you take (deluxe, standard or economy), you will start visiting the UNESCO heritage sites of the valley including Kathmandu Durbar Square lying near to Thamel & the famous Monkey Temple (Swoyambhunath Stupa) lying in the hillock to watch over the valley. In the evening you make your mouth watered to enjoy the delicious traditional Nepali dinner in nearby restaurant. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Kathmandu - Nagarkot
After fabulous breakfast at the hotel, the assigned guide will take you to Bhaktapur, one of the kingdom of the Kings in the Malla regime in the history also known as Bhadgaon famous for its preserved traditions & culture. It is considered as one of the old city in town. The place is famous for the 15th century Palace of 55 windows and the artistic courtyards and the golden gate, a masterpiece in repousse art and entrancing medley of pagoda temple scattered all over. Its is also one of the UNESCO heritage site. After the sightseeing, we will continue our journey to Nagarkot, lying at an elevation of 2175 m above the sea level. This spot provides an excellent and a grandstand panorama of the Himalaya. One can see more than 05 of the word's tallest mountains like Lhotse (8516 m), Cho Oyu (8201 m), Makalu (8463 m) and Manaslu (8163 m) and many other lesser summits including the highest peak Mt. Everest (8848 m). The snow peaks look especially gorgeous during sunset & sunrise We will view the gorgeous sunset from here. Overnight in Nagarkot.
Day 3: Nagarkot - Pokhara
Today you have to do little work, because you are required to wake up early (sounds weird to somebody ya ?) to watch the gorgeous peaks during sunrise. You will see the first rays of the sun firing the peaks a hilliest red slowly lighting of the Himalayas from Kanchenjunga and Everest in the far east of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri in the West. After this fantastic view on the eyes, we sit back to hotel for the breakfast and to prepare ourselves for the long drive 200 km Pokhara - an enchanting city. Depending on the package taken, you will either drive by the private car or the standard tourist bus to Pokhara. This is an interesting drive from the valley following the popular beginners river for rafting - Trisuli. You can see many rafts and kayaks on the same. You will be enjoying the beautiful countryside sceneries along the way. Around 06 hrs drive will take you to your destination. You have some time to enjoy the colorful town of Pokhara. Overnight in Pokhara.
Day 4: Pokhara - City Tour
After breakfast we will be having sightseeing tours around Pokhara valley. Pokhara lakeside villages sit 'front row canter' to one of the most beautiful Himalayan panoramas in the world. The Annapurna and famous 'Fishtail' mountain peak of Machapuchhare tower over the tropical setting of Pokhara and our visit there will be the scenic highlight of the trip. We will be visiting the various interesting place like Davis Fall, Mahendra Cave, the famous Seti George and some beautiful temples like Bindhabasini temple, Pokhara museum (available only to Standard & Deluxe package) of the Magic Land. In the evening you're free to explore the colorful town. You can also enjoy the boating in Fewa Lake, looking over the regions of Annapurna Himal. Overnight in Pokhara. Some of you are set free to explore the charms of the city on your own (for economy package).
Day 5: Pokhara - Kathmandu
After breakfast, keeping the beautiful memories in mind, we will drive back to Kathmandu. In Kathmandu, you are shop and pick up some last minute souvenirs, to relax and rest. Overnight in Kathmandu
Day 6: Departure
Today prepare yourself for leaving towards your own home country. Have breakfast at the hotel, the assigned guide will be there to drop you at the airport for your onward destination.
