This trek follows part of the famous Annapurna Circuit itinerary and reaches the Mustang border, by Kag Beni. North of Pokhara,Nepal's spectacular diversity appears at its finest. The deep valleys and high mountains encircling the giant Annapurna Himal embrace a wide range of peoples and terrain, from subtropical jungle to a high, dry landscape resembling the Tibetan Plateau. This route is an exceptional way to discover all aspects of the Himalayas, and is the only low altitude passage between the northern and southern Himalayas. Dry, desert highlands are followed by rich green forests. The mountain viewing is brilliant and various ethnic groups of Nepal can be encountered along the way.

Day 01: Katmandu-Pokhara by bus.
Day 02 : Pokhara – Phedi by bus. 4-hour walk to Landrung (1645m).
A gradual descent most of the time, with a few steep sections to Landung, the first Gurung village.
Day 03 : Landrung - Chomrong (1950m) in 5hrs.
Descent in the valley to cross the Modi Khola river, followed by a tough climb to Chomrong.
Day 04 : Chomrong - Himalaya Hotel (2680m) in 5hrs.
Cultivation gives way to a beautiful tropical forest, with some huge bamboo trees. The view of the twin 'fish tail' peaks of Machapuchare gradually unfolds as we go.
Day 05 : Himalaya Hotel – Machapuchare Base Camp (3480m) in 5hrs.
A tough leg if there issnow. The descent leads to an ascent that follows the course of the river.
Day 06 : Machapuchare Base Camp – Annapurna Base Camp (3900m) and back in 4hrs.
The ridgeline of peaks is almost uninterrupted – from the snowy slopes up to Hiunchuli behind, then Annapurna I (8091m), the massive south face of Annapurna itself, Fluted and Tent peaks in the foreground, to Annapurna III (7555m) and finally the gorgeous north face pyramid of Machapuchare (6997m), guarding the narrow entrance.
Day 07 : Machapuchare Base Camp - Hinku (2960m) in 4hrs.
Day 08 : Hinku - Chomrong (1950m) in 5hrs.
Day 09 : Chomrong - Tadapani (1940m) in 4hrs.
The trail winds up into the rain forest with the ever-present views of the Annapurnas.
Day 10 : Tadapani-Ghorepani (2775m) in 4hrs.
Gorgeous panoramic views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I and Machhapuchare.
Day 11 : Ghorepani - Tatopani (1190m) in 5hrs.
We firstly head to Poon Hill (3200m), famous spot for its splendid mountain vistas. We then trek towards Tatopani – literally 'hot springs'. Many trekkers like to spend a few days in this mini spa town.
Day 12 : Tatopani - Beni (817m) in 5hrs.
We continue south along a trail, carved out of the cliff face in places, beside the river.
Day 13: Beni - Baglung in 3h (trek) - Pokhara by bus.
Trek along the Kali Gandaki river.
Day 14 : Pokhara - Katmandu by bus.
