Taking the road to Limavady, home of the famous ‘Derry Air’, we travel the scenic coastal road to Mussenden Temple to hear of the wonderfully eccentric life and times of the earl bishop Frederick Augustus Hervey, including his dalliances to meet his mistress at nearby Downhill Palace. We travel through the plantation town of Coleraine to the Victorian resorts of Portstewart and Portrush, home of the world famous North West 200 bike race. See the ruins of Dunluce castle and the site where the Girona, one of the Spanish Armada fleet of 1588 met a watery grave. We visit Bushmills, the oldest whiskey distillery in the world for a tour and tasting session before visiting the famed Giants Causeway where we hear of the legends of Finn McCool AND HIS Scottish rival Bennadonner. Our final stop (optional) is the Carrick-a-rede ropebridge -suspended 80 feet in the air and not for the faint-hearted!
