Located west of Bordeaux, the Dordogne area is considered to be one of the most beautiful regions of France. Today, depart for the small town of Les Eyzies de Tayac to visit the most outstanding museum dedicated to prehistory. After your visit, we head to St Léon sur Vézère, a hidden jewel, classified as one of the most beautiful villages of France. Then arrive in Montignac to visit what is considered to be the Sistine Chapel of Parietal Art: Lascaux II. Dating back some 16 000 years ago, the paintings of Lascaux impress as they demonstrate the ability of the artists to use perspective in a manner that wasn't seen again until the 15th century. Visit of the Lascaux cave and return to Bordeaux.
