Prague Breweries

The price does not include the tram tickets and the 12 Euros each person for the beer tasting.

Prague is not only a town of important historical and cultural monuments but is also a town world famous for its beer and breweries. The first documentation of Prague´s breweries comes from the end of the 11th century. Beer-making was an important town privilege and economic element. In the middle of the 19th century there were about 60 large and small breweries in and around Prague, nowadays the number is not so important but there are some breweries with the world´s reputation.

You will have an opportunity to visit one the most famous Prague´s breweries, the Staropramen Brewery where you will get all informations about the beer-making in the past and at the present time, you will go down the cellars, you will see all phases from the beginning until the moment you have a delicous product on the table. The tour continue to the pub U Fleků, established in 1499, and the Novoměstský Brewery in the New Town where you will taste another kind of beer.

Note: The Staropramen brewery accepts groups of 5 peoples at least. If your group is smaller, you have to share the visit with another group.

Starting point: the hotel or any place in the city centre

La ville de Prague n´est pas célèbre seulement pour ses monuments historiques mais aussi pour sa bière et ses brasseries. La première mention sur les brasseries de Prague date de la fin du 11e siècle. Le droit de brasser la bière appartenait parmi les privilèges importants de la ville étant en même temps un élément économique. A la moitié du 19e siècle il y avait plus de 60 brassseries à Prague et aux alentours, de nos jours leur nombre n´est pas aussi élevé mais par contre certaines brasseries ont la réputation mondiale.

Vous aurez l´occasion de visiter une des plus connues brasseries de Prague, c-a-d. celle de Staropramen où l´on reçoit toutes les informations sur le brassage au cours des siècles, vous descendrez dans les caves pour voir toutes les phases à partir du début du brassage jusqu´au moment quand on peut goûter le produit final délicieux.

Le tour continue à la brasserie U Fleků, fondée en 1499, et puis encore à la brasserie Novoměstský dans la Nouvelle Ville où vous goûterez une autre sorte de la bière.

Remarque: la brasserie Staropramen accepte des groupes de 5 personnes au moins. Si votre groupe est moins nombreux, vous visiterez la maison avec un autre groupe des visiteurs.
