Rome is one of the greenest cities in Italy, strewn with public parks which were previously part of private noble villas and palaces.
The most important is Villa Borghese, our central park.
You can enjoy a relaxing stroll through the lush greenery, with beautiful statues and even a small lake, and then reach the Pincio terrace for an exciting view over the city.
Then, crossing the Tiber, we will visit the Botanical Gardens, home to some 3500 different species of plants and trees from around the world. Just above, from the Janiculum hill you will have Rome at your feet with a breathtaking view!
A plus during the spring and summer is the Rose Garden filled with a great variety of roses. It also offers a spectacular view of the Caesars' palaces. Next is the Giardino degli Aranci, on the Aventine Hill with a different view overlooking the river and St. Peter's Basilica with Michelangelo's dome.
