A leisurely boat tour (appr. 6 hours) touching the main islands of the Venetian Lagoon, will take you back to the origins of Venice: Torcello, isolated in the middle of the water landscape, has a millenary Cathedral with awesome mosaics: here we shall conjure up the spirit of Ernest Hemingway, who spent some time in this secluded corner of the world. Burano, like many
Mediterranean fishing villages, has tiny, brightly colored houses - a treat for photographers -, and a friendly, peaceful atmosphere. And the best souvenir in town: those delicious local 'biscotti'... We also stop at Murano, renowned for its artistic glass production. After a short visit to the 12th century church of San Donato - with its carpet-like marble floor - we shall finally head back to Venice.
The Lagoon Tour can be done either in 4 hours or more leisurely in 6, with a break for lunch in one of the typically charming restaurants. 4 hour tour (incl.only the islands of Burano and Murano): Guide fee: 300 €.
