The best approach to Venice if you are here for the first time is an introductory tour which includes some important sites. The tour starts with the visit of St. Mark’s square, the former political centre of the Venetian Republic, and of St. Mark’s Basilica, a must for anyone in Venice.
Afterward we take a walk ‘backstage’ so to discover the urban development of the city: bridges, narrow alleyways, large and small squares. Passing in front of imposing churches and ancient palaces we shall end our tour in the busy central area of Rialto.
the Lagoon
An interesting and entertaining visit to the Northern Lagoon, touching the islands of Murano - world-known for its 800 years old tradition in the art of glass-blowing-, and Burano - the most attractive island of the Lagoon, with its brightly colored houses and fishing boats, its top quality lace production and delicious cookies. We will navigate the Lagoon on a private deluxe motorlaunch that can comfortably accomodate up to ten people.
This tour can be taken all year. It is also possible to combine this tour with a complete tour of the Grand Canal by adding an extra hour (for a total of four hours).
